Does my safety manual template need to be updated every year?
No. Your health and safety manual will only need to be updated if there has been a major ohs regulation change in your province - for a particular topic. Regulation changes do not happen as often as you may think. In some cases, you may not see any major regulation changes for many-many years. However, if for any reason there is a major regulation change in your province - and one of your manual policies will require an edit - our team will email you many months ahead to give you a heads up! We will send you the new regulation requirements and editing your manual will only take a few minutes.

Once you have deleted the policy, simply update your table of contents (we have provided you with instructions on how to do so) . For example, a Joint Health and Safety Committee is only required in certain provinces when you reach a certain amount of employees employed within your business. If you have less than 10 employees let's say for Saskatchewan or less than 20 employees for BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario; then by regulation you will not need a JHSC committee or this policy within your manual, so simply delete it from your manual. It's that easy.
